Sue’s Fav: Visual Smiles Gallery
When cat lover, Mishkat in the Etsy Forums mentioned the combo print, note cards and magnet sets at Visual Smiles Gallery (aka LindaGJ) I became quite curious and decided to take a peek. When I clicked to view her amazing shop I savored items that were a cat lover’s dream!
This was especially true for myself since my cat Yingy, a female Tuxedo, resembles the cat that Linda features in her prints - Miss Peanut Jones! She not only resembles her in looks, but in size and spirit as well!
Sadly, Miss Peanut is no longer part of Linda’s household but her memory will never be forgotten! You will find Miss Peanut in Linda’s numerous prints sets and in the two books that she has written, “The Itty Bitty Kitty from New York City” & “Peanut Jones Thinks about Fun!”
Now if you fall in love with her prints, as I have done, when you purchase anyone of these darlings….included is a matching magnet and a matching boxed set of seven gift cards! Wow, I was floored! How does she do all that at such a fantastic low price? Needless to say, I am a proud owner of a couple of her print sets, the quality of these items are great and you’ll love her whimsical subject matter!
Listen to what Linda has to say when describing her beloved kitty (see her shop for the full story):
I just have to say that she had such an itty bitty tail, itty bitty cow legs, & the cutest itty bitty face…yet,lo & behold…she had a very big round body! Perfect shape for aN ornament ball, that you will see in my store as a sculpture figure adorned in a variety of costumes as well as a magnet. This lovable feline who was raised in an art studio environment & exposed to the visual & performing arts her whole life, made Miss Peanut, not only a very cultured feline, but also a legend!
With the holidays now upon us, I am always looking for fantastic decorating ideas, and this clay and paper mache figurine of Miss Peanut Jones is just perfect as a display item or as a beautiful gift for a lover of cats.
LindaGJ’s shop is highly recommended! I hope that you stop by and take advantage of her Miss Peanut lovelies!

So glad to see Linda featured! Her artwork is wonderful and her products are very high quality. We have her “Feeding Time” print in our kitchen (near the cat food dishes, of course). The lovely Miss Peanut reminds me of our cat Tasha – different coloring but same shape! Linda is a really nice person who is a delight to communicate with.

I absolutely love Linda’s drawings and adorable whimsical kitties and fishies and fairy ballerina’s. And I can’t wait to see her newest ‘collectibles’ – she making some bulldogs for a custom order.
As I’ve told Linda, I can’t look at her whimsical creations without cracking a big smile – thus I suppose – the name of her shop – “Visual Smiles”.

I’m so thrilled to see this feature of Linda and her work here! I love all her adorable, whimsical work, and have bought some of her work for my daughter-in-law who loves cats. I have gotten to read her books in person, as we are in the same art group together, and they are so imaginative and creative…with such a dry sense of humor! Really fun. She also makes whimsical fairies/mermaids/ballerinas/fish out of paper mache! She’s just chock full of talent, is our LindaGJ. Keep up the good work, Linda!!!

What a wonderful feature! Linda’s work is so cute and whimsical! I just love her fish with their enormous, smiling lips and cheerful colors. Her 3-D work is so wonderful in person that the photos just can’t capture how great her pieces really are! I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful, joyful artist. Thanks for sharing your perspective on her work!

Great artwork! Linda is an extremely talented artist gifted in many media from fabric sculpture and sewing to paper mache sculpture to gorgeous watercolor prints and her fabulous illustrated storybooks! I proudly own and display several of her works including a fantastic Chinese fabric sculpture mask, flying mermaid angel mobile, fabulous paper mache fish which float above my dining table and a wonderfully whimsical print of Peanut in her bathroom which naturally hangs in my bathroom.
I take care of 11 cats so I LOVE her cat art. But cat lover or not, anyone would appreciate any of Linda’s fun creations.
Great gifts for anyone on your Christmas list!

I have known Linda as an artist for quite a few years.
I used to represent her work in my gallery . She sold well. Since everything in the large gallery space was a one of a kind, and everything was handmade and all media was represented, she had a lot to compete with to get the buyer’s attention.
Linda is as spirited and lovely, as unique and whimsical as her work. I wish everyone could own some of her delightful pieces, it would be a happier world in which to play.
